Day 7
September 7

Phil. 4:1-9
Psalm 7:1-17
Prov. 2:1-5

Before we go to our iTrain discussion, I just want to thank God for the great day we had this Friend Day at High Street. I loved walking around church and being introduced to the friends who had been invited. Some people made decisions to accept Jesus Christ. There is nothing sweeter than that. We also enjoyed a wonderful time during the “Cardboard Testimony Parade”. It is amazing how profound summary statements of how God has made a difference in our lives scribbled on simple cardboard can be. I was truly blessed to be able to celebrate God’s goodness with others. No doubt the witness presented will continue to impact people in the coming days and weeks.

Philippians 4:1-9 is one of the riches passages.

It is clear that Paul loves the people he is writing. He begins to give some important instructions. In rapid fire fashion he reminds us of the following:

• Move toward unity.
• Help each others move toward unity.
• We are all fellow workers and our names are in the Book of Life
• Rejoice always. This is important – rejoice.
• Be gentle – The Lord is at hand. God is watching every conversation and encouter and He is looking for gentleness.
• Don’t worry. Pray with thanksgiving – this is the way to let peace guard your heart.
• Be careful what you think about.

These few statements put into practice could revolutionize our lives. I need to give them all more attention.

almost forgot day 7; read it, rejoice in the lord always...how hard that can be at times. It's easy to put on the heir of joy but to truly rejoice "ALWAYS" now that is a challenge....I love that verse, always have, now lets cont. to strive to let the holly spirit make us...ME...to be honest...that way

Echo what has been said. Rejoice in the Lord always is difficult but Paul may have known that the people of Philippi (like me) would have the same thought because he repeated it.

And again I say rejoice.

A positive attitude and a smile are contagious. I feel that is what Paul is saying in Phil 4:8. If we'll concentrate and keep our mind on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, we can't help but exude those qualities so that others might catch the disease!

The service Sunday was awesome!!! I have taped "I am a child of God!" to my computer at work. Everytime I see it I smile!!! The cardboard testamonies were encouraging. I read too. Julie

I love the "think on these things" verse. For me, I know it's important to keep my mind focused on the things Christ wants me to focus on.

I Love these passages! It is a daily struggle to guard our hearts and minds! I was thinking to myself that I do have to be disciplined--there are a lot of verbs here! Rejoice, Prayer, let, meditate, guard, incline, apply, search....

Yesterday was amazing. The Holy Spirit just turned on a lightbulb of understanding when it comes to that passage where Jacob wrestles with God. Absolutely amazing.
I love this itrain30 series, too. It's so easy to get through, so encouraging, and a great way to stay in contact with others.
It's pretty cool to have my teenage daughter ask me EVERY night what the verses of itrain are so she can read them on her own or with me. Now that's conection.

Thank you for the lesson. I needed a reminder on how to deal with those who aren't so nice - trust in God.

BTW, yesterday's service was incredible and very touching. Our entire family truly enjoyed Aaron's message.

I need to remember that in EVERYTHING let my requests be made known to god. I many times don't think about the small stuff as being as important to God as the big stuff. David

Day 8. Paul said he was instructed to suffer need, yet in Proverbs, God tells us he will shield those that walk uprightly. What a promise! David
